Some New Pics!

First of all, can anybody tell me what is with snow in LA. I thought I moved away from that stuff long ago, but it was beautiful!

Some new pics of what God is doing at LightHouse Church!

Everyone wants to be the “Biggest Loser” and burn off those extra Christmas cookies and see those pounds go far, far away. This may not sound like a deep spiritual matter but hang with me for a minute and I will try to explain. The reality is as Americans we overindulge in everything that we do, including (and mostly) the food that we eat.
And with healthy choice in diet getting harder and more expensive; and with junk food, desserts and sweets so easy to get your hands on (donuts, ice-cream, Copeland’s cheese-cake or really any dessert from Copeland’s) we wake up one day and realize that all that un-healthy eat has caught up with us. So we make discussions to increase our daily exercise and maybe by beginning a new workout program to burn those extra pounds.
What we eat is suppose to be used as fuel to be burned and the fuel that is burned makes the body strong by turning fat into muscle. Now I know that is a poor translation of a complex process, but I think you get the point. But the fact is if no changes are made to burn that fuel, the pounds will begin to add up and eventually this will lead to obesity. Now I know that this is an area that we all could use some improvement on, especially me.
But here is the kicker that as much as we can become obese (and I know that this is a harsh word but it gets the job done) in the natural, spiritually with a mass amount of ingestion of spiritual blessings and little action we can become spiritual obese.
In the body of Christ we have heard enjoy preaching and teaching, we experience awesome worship and life changing services, we are so blessed and we are so full. If we are always filling ourselves and never doing anything with that Heavenly fuel we have been given, we are hearing and enjoying but not doing anything with it, James had something to say about this James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…”
There is nothing wrong with enjoy the blessings of God, these blessings are meant to be our strength and rest so that we can return to the game, we are not meant to come to church, hear good messages, enjoy worship services, say a little prayer leave and do nothing with what has just filled our hearts, minds and spirits.

Refreshed player can always help a team win, but a player that won’t get off the bench and does nothing with what they have, won’t help anyone. So what are you doing today, God designed you with purpose and a calling for you to fulfill. If you want more anointing, use what you have and you will see God’s power increasing in your life. If you want more love, love more, you want more joy, enjoy more, you want more purpose experience your Creator and God more (by the way, who is madly in love with you and want a deep meaningful relationship with you). You may feel that you don’t have what it take to fulfill your God given purpose, but check and see if you already have been given what you need. God will always equip those who answer the call. He gave it, you got it, so go use it!
